WELL new as of about May, but I just got myself over there to check it out! Im a frequent diner at The Veggie Grill on Sunset and they have numerous other locations in Ca. I am always at the Farmers Market so this location is perfect for me!! They have a fabulous menu full of lovely salads, delicious kale dishes, wraps, sandwiches, a cute kids menu, fabulous appetizers, and dessert! They even host “Veggie Virgin Night” occasionally which is where they “de virginize” people for free! My mom and I went in one afternoon for lunch and

tried a few new things so here goes! To try a couple of new things we got 2 appetizers. The “Uptown Nachos” ($4.95) Tortilla Chips, Chili, VG- Cheese, Corn Salsa, Avocado, Soy Cream, and Jalapenos. Spectacular, oozing with soy cream and fresh avocado and the chili you cant touch. so so good! We also split the “Buffalo Wings” ($6.25) Fresh VG Chikin with a Spicey Buffalo Sauce, served with Celery Sticks and Ranch!! LOVE! This is one of my favorite appetizers at VG. All American Stack

things were some kind of wonderful’:):) They have an extensive sandwich menu at VG but my mom decided on one of their popular sandwiches the “All-American Stack” ($8.95) Grilled Veggie-Steak, Thousand Island Dressing, Pickles, Lettuce, Tomato, topped with Crispy Onion Rings served with Chili. The description is overwhelmingly lovely and the taste is even better! This sandwich has the perfect amount of veggie, ‘meat’, and crunch! All Hail Kale Salad!

tasty salads the ” All Hail Kale with Blackened ‘Chikin’” ($7.95 + $2.50) Marinated Kale & Red Cabbage, Roasted Corn Salsa, Agave-Roasted Walnuts ( I opted out) with a Ginger-Papaya Vinaigrette with Blackened ‘Chikin’. Most of the time I get kale, it is a little bland..good but bland; but honestly you could not tell that this was kale – it was the best kale salad I’ve ever eaten. Seriously, fresh, flavorful, healthy, with lovely fruity flavors and a nice blackened chikin. MHM  Something I will definitely be ordering again!! LOVE me some Veggie Grill and you should to, so check out the new Farmers Market Location!! Eat Green and Clean!

Mac & Cheese!

The Veggie Grill is one of the most popular healthy vegan fast food type places in LA. I’ve been so many times and loved each one. They have some amazing food selections ; salads, soups, sandwiches, wraps, kale dishes, nachos, mac & cheese, and dessert! Let me say this it is ALLamazing, you cannot go wrong!

Thai Chickin'

They have numerous locations including; West Hollywood, Santa Monica, El Segundo, Torrance, Irvine, and a *NEW* location coming to the Fairfax Farmers Market in Hollywood this summer! I decided this trip to try a couple of items I’d never had before and I am so glad I did! I started off with the “Macaroni & Cheese“

($2.25) Quinoa Pasta, VG Cheese, topped with Toasted Garlic Bread Crumbs. This was like that old school mac & cheese mom use to make for ya. So delicious, creamy with a bit of crunchy bread crumbs. YUM!  For my entree I got one of their many delicious salads the “Thai Chickin’ Salad” ($9.50) Chillin’ Chickin’, Romaine, Red & Green Cabbage, Roasted Corn Salsa, Green Onion, Mandarin Oranges, Toasted Sesame Seeds, Cilantro, & Wontons with SPicy Thai Dressing. This salad had so much going on! It’s definitely a favorite menu item at VG. *Must Try* the flavors were mouth watering! MHM. SO another delicious meal at The Veggie Grill -make sure you stop in and try some of their spectacular food!

So as soon as the plane hit the concrete at LAX I knew I was heading to one of my favorite places in LA, The Veggie Grill Conveniently located on Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood and most recently in Santa Monica. They are a healthy, fast food type place 100% vegan that offers appetizers, salads, side dishes, wraps, and some crazy sandwiches, along with yummy desserts! the long flight ( that ran out of snacks might I add), but also to throw out a fantastic review for you:) So here goes… For our appetizer we got the ” Chill Out Wings” ($6.25) Bite Sized Chillin Chickin’ with our Tangy BBQ Sauce. These are

Bayou Chickin' Sandwich ($8.95)

astonishing, so tasty.. A little crispy but with juice soy chickin’ inside, and the BBQ sauce is one of the most amazing sauces known to man.. yum! The first entree up for review is the ” Soup & Salad Combo” ($8.50) Large

Carrot Cake ($3.5)

Chickin’, Green Onion, Roasted Corn Salsa with Chipotle Ranch Dressing ( all of their salads are infused with Quinoa as well, which I LOVE) This salad is delicious, full of different vegan proteins and fresh vegetables.. an all time favorite of mine at The Veggie Grill! The next entree we ordered was the “Bayou Chickin’ Sandwich” ($8.95) Chillin’ Chickin’, Lightly Blackened with Cajun Spices, Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, Avocado, and Spicy Mayo. What a flavorful sandwich! Of course being a native New Orleans girl I was drawn to the “cajun spices” .. They didn’t disappoint either, spectacular! With your sandwich you also get a side so we decided to get a cup of “ Tortilla Soup” : *Soup of the Day* Fresh Tortilla, with Vegan Cheese Mix with Veggies. Took a little trip south of the border: and what better place than California to do just that! This was a fantastic vegan take on a classic soup. Soup of champions, Ill just say that. So good! We couldn’t leave without doing a little vegan dessert tasting so we ordered 2 different things and split! “Chocolate Chip Cookie”($1.75) Fresh Vegan Batter with Gooey Chocolate Chips and Crushed Walnuts. This was one of the softest most delicious cookies I’ve tasted, tasted spectacular with a nice cold tea on a sunny day in CA. We also got the “ Carrot Cake” ($3.50) Fresh Slivered Carrots mixed in Batter with a Soft Vanilla Cream and Chopped Walnuts. This was a moist flavorful carrot cake, I loved the creamy frosting, with the crunch of the walnuts. OH SO FANTASTIC. The Veggie Grill: WeHo CA.

The Veggie grill was my spot for lunch today.. right next door to my apartment which is convenient Tried something new there the Chipotle BBQ Sandwich which was shredded veggie- steak marinated in tangy BBQ sauce, with chipotle ranch, caramelized onions, with lettuce and tomato . along with the steamed kale with a tahini dressing. Both amazing a little messy to eat but worth getting extra napkins! I love this place everything I’ve tasted is delicious:) I got a vegan gluten free brownie next door at Pizza Fusion ( which has organic pizza/salad not all vegan but they have vegan options) { PizzaFusion.com} This brownie was good very light and crisp on the top.. although I would go for a RFD cookie over it anytime:)!!

Today we ate at “The Veggie Grill” right next door to my apartment a 2 minute walk. which is perfect:) This place is amazing! Kelly Osbourne even enjoys a meal here from time to time! Today we started off with the Chill Out Wings , strips of chillin “chickin” with a tangy BBQ sauce.. These were amazing you would think they were chicken fingers and the BBQ sauce could be served as a beverage so good! Then we split the Chop- Chop Chef salad, chopped romaine, tempeh, veggie steak, chillin chickin, green onion, roasted corn salsa with a chipotle ranch dressing. This salad was one of the best salads I’ve had.. Full of protein and the ranch dressing just made it so much more delicious! We also split the Bayou Chickin sandwich- being from New Orleans it caught my eye and I’m glad it did! Lightly blackened “chickin” with cajun spices, lettuce, tomato, red onion, avocado, and spicy vegan mayo on a whole wheat bun with red cabbage coleslaw on the side. This sandwich was heaven in my mouth. Perfectly blackened “meat” and the cajun spice was just amazing.. put me back in New Orleans for a minute. This is a place you can bring friends who aren’t vegan.. they wouldn’t know the difference . trust me! I will be a frequent customer here so close to my apartment great prices. nothing over $10 and big enough to share! Overall pure deliciousness !
